Is the Santa Dash on this year?

Yes. Myton has opened entries for Sunday 6 December 2026, with Victoria Park, Leamington Spa, CV31 3PH, as the venue. The hospice calls it Warwickshire’s largest Santa Dash and is aiming to raise £100,000; its page showed £9,613 raised on 26 October.

Entry prices

Ticket Early bird, to 8pm Mon 9 Nov From 9 November
Adult £14 £19
Child, under 18 £6 £7
Mini Dash, under 8 Free, no registration Free, no registration

Your entry fee covers the cost of staging the event. There is no minimum fundraising target, but Myton suggests £50 a person or £100 for a family of four. Raising £50 gets you a reusable Santa Dash cup and a mince pie and hot drink in the VIP fundraiser tent; £500 adds a limited edition Christmas jumper, express check-in and a gold race number.

Everyone who finishes gets a medal that doubles as a Christmas tree decoration.

Santa suits

You can wear your own festive outfit. Myton also sells Santa suits and Myton Christmas T-shirts with a Santa hat for £5 each, while stocks last, in adult and children’s sizes, plus child elf suits for ages 5 to 8.

If you ordered one when you registered, collect it either on Wednesday 2 December, 12pm to 6pm, at Warwick Myton Hospice, Myton Lane, CV34 6PX, or on the morning in Victoria Park. Any left over are sold on the day.

Times on the day

Myton’s main page says the dash starts “at 9am”; its published running order puts the 9am slot as the Mini Dash warm-up and the main 5k waves from 9.30am. The running order is the detail to plan around:

Time What happens
8am Registration opens; Royal Brass Band to 8.30am
8.45am Best Dressed Dog competition
9am Mini Dash warm-up
9.05am Mini Dash, 100m, under-8s

Speedy Santas is new for 2026: it is the start for anyone expecting to finish the 5k in under 30 minutes. Everyone else goes as a Festive Santa. You do not have to choose when you register.

Around the course there are face painters, mulled wine, festive breakfast from food vendors, an inflatable snow globe and Santa with his sleigh. Each wave sets off as the snow starts.

Children, dogs, wheelchairs and pushchairs

  • Children of any age can do the main 5k with a child ticket. Under-8s can also do the 100m Mini Dash at 9.05am, free, without registering, and get a medal from Santa.
  • Dogs are welcome on a lead. The Best Dressed Dog competition is at 8.45am.
  • Wheelchairs and pushchairs: Myton says the route is fully accessible for both. Access questions go to its events team at events@mytonhospice.org.

A busy Sunday in Leamington

6 December is a full day in town. The Christmas market is on the Parade from 10am, and the Lantern Parade gathers at the Bandstand in the Royal Pump Room Gardens from 4.15pm for a 5pm start. Coming for the dash and staying for the lanterns is a long day, but every one of the three is within a walk of the others. The rest of the month is in What’s on in Leamington.
